The goal of the Pouhala Marsh State Wildlife Sanctuary Restoration was to rehabilitate a 10 acre are to create a pond for increased native bird habitat. Bow Engineering worked with DOFAW to create a concept design and Final EA (HRS 343) to be used for future design and construction. Ownership of other portions of land within the marsh was to be transferred from City and County of Honolulu to DLNR. A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) was completed.
